Keep Soiled Instruments Moist with HUMIPAKS
Developed for hospitals, dental clinics, anywhere soiled instruments are transported from an OR or procedure room to a sterile processing department. The self-seal Humipaks aim to reduce Health Care Associated Infections (HCAI’s) by keeping instruments in moist conditions that will keep soil and dirt in a soft state, facilitating much easier, faster cleaning and decontamination processes without use of pre-treatment chemicals.
The Humipak consists of a layer of highly absorbent material sandwiched between two layers of waterproof film. To use, place individual instruments, or an entire instrument tray inside the Humipak, add the specified amount of water to the absorbent layer, and seal with the peel away adhesive strip. This creates a watertight, moist atmosphere that will prevent organics from drying over an extended period.
Contents are visible and content notes or instructions can be written directly onto the transparent film. Testing has demonstrated that items will remain moist for up to 3 days, depending upon the type of instruments, and the exact composition of the residue.

Zoll AED Plus & AED 3 Automated External Defibrillators
Not all AEDs are created equal. Ortho Medical is proud to be an Authorized Distributor of Zoll. A rescuer armed with an automated external defibrillator (AED) who performs CPR is the victim’s best chance for survival until medical personnel arrive.
Only 50% of those who experience Sudden Cardiac Arrest will initially require a shock, but nearly every victim needs CPR to increase the flow of oxygenated blood to the heart and brain.
CPR performed at an effective depth and rate greatly increases a victim’s chance of survival, and all ZOLL® AEDs guide rescuers with Real CPR Help® providing real-time instruction and comprehensive feedback on compression rate and depth, then will deliver a shock, if needed.
